Summary This lesson introduces the Mediterranean Climate Zone and focuses on the different pockets around the world that are considered part of this climate zone. This lesson is designed to incorporate a summative assessment in the form of a flipped classroom project. Students are assigned to work in small groups to teach the whole class about one facet of the Mediterranean zone. Each group has the task of defining characteristics of the Mediterranean Climate Zone, but then branch off to focus on how the different areas around the world formed cultures and different traditions given the climate that they live in.
Learning Objectives 1. Students will create a short video their knowledge of the Mediterranean Climate zone. 2. Students will critically decide which research sources are reliable for gathering information.
